In this research, we tried to reconstruct 3D surface polygon with PolyFit software. The trials is being done with different levels of object details. Started by minimum details to larger details that being set. Where details is defined as number of points in smallest polygon in one set of object. There are 2 types of data used in this research, the data collected on the field and data creation with computer. Field data collected by photogrammetry. Meanwhile, computer data created by 3D model (already exixt) to pointclouds conversion with software such as Cloud Compare and Mapple. The conversion fulfill PolyFit pointclouds requirement, that the pointcloud model shoud be manifold and watertight. Both of them which are pointclouds, becomes input for PolyFit. There are 15 cases that had been tested to create the best method possible, so that the result is close to the expected result. We choose 6 cases from those 15 cases to be analyzed geometrically. Hopefully the results of this research could become references for next 3D surface polygon reconstructions. text |
