Description
Summary:World hunger is one of the biggest unsloved problem and one of the primary cause is is climate change that destroy harvests. Model and microclimate control system of greenhouse is designed to condition the surrounding climate of the plant so that they can survive the extreme macroclimate. The model dan microclimate control system of greenhouse is designed to achieve temperature and light intensity of ± 2°C and ± 5 ?mol m-2 s-1 from input, as well as relative humidity of 55% to 90%. The greenhouse model and microclimate control system is successfully designed and all must requirements are fullfilled, in which the control system of light intensity, temperature, and humidity used are consecutively increment, PI, and on-off control system. Greenhouse model design is also required to have the capacity to contain small plant, to be able to let plant survive at -5°C outside temperature, to able to have air exchange, and to be able to withstand wind, snow, and rain. The design is wished to fullfill several objectives such as cheap and efficient, having the ability to let plant survive without the help of lighting from outside greenhouse model, relative humidity can be controlled in ± 5% range from input, and without steady state error. Control system parameters that fulfill the design requirements for light intensity system are i = 1 and on-off error of 5 ?mol m-2 s-1. The parameters of PI temperature control system that fulfills the design requirements are Kp = 50 and Ki = 0.1. On-off control system for humidity system with 1% on-off range and on-off point at +1% from input fulfills the design requirements. Heating systems is capable to create 27°C of temperature difference, therefore is capable to let plants survive at -5°C outside temperature.
