THE USE OF THE EQUAL SLOPE METHOD IN OPTIMIZATION OF ARTIFICIAL LIFT IN FIELD K WITH TWO TYPES OF ARTIFICIAL LIFT

The equal slope method is the simplest method of gas lift allocation and includes linear optimization method. Where this method looks for the same gradient or has the same degree of slope from the gas lift performance curve. Optimization in a field with more than one artificial lifting method, us...

Optimization in a field with more than one artificial lifting method, usually done using computational methods while optimization methods that are as simple as the equal slope so far have been applied to the field with one artificial lift only on the gas lift. For use other than gas lifts and combined with other artificial lifts so far not yet been implemented. In this study the authors propose the use of the equal slope method to optimize the field using artificial lifts such as electrical submersible pump (ESP) and gas lift simultaneously. The results showed that the equal slope method can be used to optimize the field with dual artificial lift simultaneously. Before being used in optimizing dual artificial lifts, the proposed method is tested for use in optimizing other than gas allocation. The case of dual artificial optimization on ESP pumps and gas lifts that need to be considered is on the performance curve graphs before combining, on the x-axis in the curve must be in a similar variable so that it can be added to the master slope. Optimization using the equal slope method in dual artificial lift conditions for ESP and gas lift in gas conditions is limited and there are limitations on surface facilities obtained a field production rate of 61,361 bbl/d with well flow rates using a gas lift of 22,500 bbl/d and wells that using ESP of 38,861 bbl/d. Whereas for unlimited gas the field production rate was obtained at 65,271 bbl/d with the well flow rate using gas lift of 26,271 bbl/d. text
