Summary: | Adi Soemarmo International Airport is located in Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province. It serves domestic and international flights, and is one of the embarkation for pilgrimage in Indonesia. Moreover, its location which is close to Adisujtipto Airport in Yogyakarta make it one of the alternatives to head towards Yogyakarta. With the current condition and considering the important role of Adi Soemarmo Airport, it is clear that this airport need a development to keeping it on giving a good service. The developments will be carried out in the form of expansion of airport terminal to increase the capacity, construction of airport train to increase the airport’s accessibility, and the planning for supporting system like terminal’s facilities, parking lot, etc.
These developments will refer to criterias which are made by generally-accepted organizations FAA, ICAO, AASHTO, etc. The needs of development will be designed to suit the amount of passenger in the end of design-life of the airport, which is 20 years in the future. The estimation of this amount will be carried out with econometric modelling. The result then will be used as the basis for facilities design.
As the result of analysis, the amount of passenger 20 years in the future will reach around 5.3 millions passenger anually. To accommodates this amount, there will be needed a public room around 2500 m2 in airport terminal, and around 350 m2 in airport train station. The trains will be operated on all 3 lanes, with a set of 200 seated trains for each lanes. In one day, there will be 36 trips to serve the passenger. The parking lot itself will use jointed concrete pavement type, with a thickness of 15 cm. |
