Description
Summary:Spatial database is different from normal database. Data retrieval from spatial database needs complicated formal query. By using NLIDB, spatial data can be retrieved easily. There were various researches about NLIDB in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the researches focus on normal relational database. The purpose of this research is to develop a method to translate Indonesian imperative sentences to SQL query for the development of Indonesian Language Interfaces to Spatial Database. There are 3 stages done to convert Indonesian imperative sentence to SQL syntax. The three stages were adapted from (Raharjo, 2014). The stage is lexical analysis, syntax analysis, and semantic analysis. After the three stages has been done accordingly, the last stage from (Raharjo, 2014) is done. The last stage is pragmatic analysis. This is the stage where the connection to spatial database is established in order to get the necessary data. Implementation was developed in a web application. The eighteen queries were used to test the accuracy and trueness of the proposed method. For the result, all queries was translated to SQL accurately. The accuracy evaluation is done by analyzing the produced SQL and the output.
