Summary:Cancer is the second largest cause of death in the world. Based on data by the World Heath Organization (WHO) there were 9.8 million cases of death in 2018. Various medical treatments have been developed to overcome cancer problems, such as surgery, chemotherapy. But they caused many side effects. Photothermal can overcome these deficiencies because it is minimally invasive and can healing in specific areas. QGD is material that has excellent characteristics as photothermal agent. GQD will be encapsulated in drug carrier based (CaCO3). CaCO3 has good biocompability, high drug loading efficiency and non toxic. CaCO3 will be controlled by particle size using a polymer Poly-2-Acrylamido-2-Methylprophane Sulfonic Acid (PAMPS). The polymer will control the nucleation of calcium carbonate so that its size can be around 100 - 200 nm according to the passive targetting method. To get the best samples, the concentration of precursors will be done 0.01 and 0.001 molar, the mixing time are 2 minutes and 120 minutes, the stirring speed are 500 rpm and 1000 pm, concentration of PAMPS are 0.075 and 0.1% w / v. The best sample loaded with GQD with a final concentration of 3.25 ppm. The best sample based on morphological and DLS tests is hybrid PAMPS 0.075% that producing spherical particles with a size of 97 nm. The sample is loaded with GQD and has the potential to be a photothermal agent because it reaches a temperature of 42?C when irradiating with a laser.
