Summary:The Bugis tribe is one of the largest tribes originating from eastern Indonesia, which has complex cultural traditions and systems, ranging from literature, religious rituals, to socio-politics. The Bugis Diaspora exited the mainland of South Sulawesi, resulting in the Bugis community in the overseas land being forced to acculturate with a new culture. Therefore, it is felt necessary to harden identity in the context of preservation through an educational facility which is not only a means of informative culture but also a means of cultural advancement. Furthermore, to fathom the main topic of cultural advancement, the fundamental thinking of ecosystem, namely interdependence or interdependent relationships, is taken. Building a relationship of interdependence between the Bugis community and its culture, one of which, can be realized by building a sense of ownership and fostering a "me-thing" facilities with a design approach that leads to the current tendency of the Bugis community, without abandoning the normative value of building the main elements of the indigenous culture. So through the interdependence approach in design, innovation is born as part of advancement, along with the main values that remain sustain.
