In addition, many remote areas in Indonesia that do not yet have access to electricity are also a problem. Therefore the development of small scale wind turbines is needed to overcome these problems. The horizontal axis wind turbine is designed, manufactured and tested in this final project. This wind turbine uses three taperless blades 1 meter in diameter. Small turbines and simple construction, designed so that turbines can be installed in remote area, residential areas and rooftops of high rise buildings. This wind turbine rotor is designed to produce effective power at speeds of 5-8 m / s. Simplification of construction is carried out in several sections to make manufacturing process easier. Wind turbine testing is carried out to obtain performance characteristics at various wind speeds. This wind turbine produces significant power when the rotor rotation is above 500 rpm. The largest electric power generated is 117 watt at a speed of 10.26 m/s. The greatest efficiency occurs when the wind speed is 7.4 m/s with an efficiency of 33%. The average efficiency of this test is 20%. This result has reached the average efficiency of conventional small wind turbines text
