The development of information technology is spurring a new way of life known as e-life, which means that life has been changed by various electronic needs. So, a lot of terminology starts with ‘e‘ like e-commerce, e-government, e-education, e-journal, and others that are electronic based. Technology support is very needed to increase productivity and creativity for producing fashion product innovations.
Textile products with various added value functions are called smart textiles. Smart textiles are often also known as smart fabrics, smart cloth, wearable computers, electronic textile, and intellegence textile. The implementation of smart textile products in Indonesia can be said to be still a story or just a technological knowledge that needs to be anticipated to design future fashion product developments.
The design process is carried out by exploring the materials with surface textile techniques like screen printing, flocking, beading, pleating, etc. to obtain certain textures and silhouettes with sensory applications inspired by Bekraf Indonesia Trend Forecast 2019-2020:Singularity with one of the sub-themes, Artificial Intelligence Paradox called Cortex. |
