To characterize the reservoir, senstive parameters to changes in lithology and porosity must be determined. These sensitive parameters will be applied to the seismic area using seismic inversion method. In this research, reservoir characterization is applied using Extended Elastic Impedance inversion method. In this research, the most sensitive parameter to discriminate sandstone and shale is Vp/Vs, while the most sensitive parameter to determine porous sand is lambdarho. The Vp/Vs parameter is represented in the EEI (-44°) volume. The lambda-rho parameter is represented in the EEI (-23°) volume. Model-based inversion result has more intial model contribution than seismic, while sparse-spike inversion result has more seismic contribution than intial model. Therefore, to obtain a more balanced result that contains balanced contribution from seismic and model, frequency domain merge was done between model-based inversion and sparsespike inversion. The inversion result from both parameters was multiplied to enhace contrast from target zone. Sandstone zone with good porosity and potential for further development is located in the west and northeastern side of GNK-90 well, especially between RT 5 and RT 6 horizon. text |
