Description
Summary:The Bandung Basin Area as a West Java metropolitan area has an important role as a National Strategic Area. The development of the Bandung Basin Area is directed based on the potential of horticultural agriculture, non-polluting industries, creative industries, trade, services, tourism and plantations which are developed to support the Bandung Urban Area as a center of national activity. The condition of the Bandung Basin is influenced by the condition of the North Bandung Region which supplies 60% of groundwater for the Bandung Basin. However, the carrying capacity of the Bandung Basin is decreasing and causing drought in the dry season and flooding in the rainy season. This happens because the North Bandung Region is experiencing land degradation due to the change of function and spatial use that is not in accordance with the provisions of spatial planning so that it affects its function as a conservation and water catchment area for Bandung Raya Metropolitan. Through this research, the phenomenon of spatial use related to the magnitude, the pattern of change and its compliance with the provisions of spatial planning will be identified. Changes and suitability of spatial use are identified quantitatively and spatially by overlaying some time series land use maps and adjusting to planning requirements, then followed by descriptive analysis based on interviews with local government officials. The study was conducted in Cimenyan Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency which has the highest critical area in Cimenyan District and has diverse and potential land use characteristics in the tourism sector. The results showed that a significant change in spatial use occurred in the wetland agricultural space utilization area and residential areas. The spatial use of Cimenyan Village considers the topography of the area, so that changes in the dominant spatial use occur in the lower Cimenyan Village, namely in areas with contours below 1000 masl. The mismatch of spatial use with planning in Desa Cimenyan technically the structure of the building period occurs in residential areas and in the designation of non-built areas. This is influenced by population growth which encourages the increasing need for spatial use and the tourism sector which is potential in improving the economy of the surrounding community through trade and service activities.
