Pelindo III created a mobile application services called Home Terminal System (HTS). This Innovation has benefits for customer to be able to order of port services through by smartphone and get effieciency from reducing operational costs and monitor position of vessel and container in real time.
HTS was trial on February 1, 2018 is Vessel Services at Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) and Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. The trial results of HTS is not yes in line with the puropose of creating HTS, which is to increase the productivity of vessel services due the fact that HTS has not increase productivity because there isn’t intens communication between Pelindo III and customer when planning of making HTS.
At this time, the ministry of SOEs instruct to SOE companies to develop technology that purposes to increase the capabilities of the company in order to create added value, excellent service and efficient operations. Technology developmnet is also intended for Pelindo I, Pelindo II, Pelindo III and Pelindo IV. SOEs companies in the port sector will be held as Maritime SOEs, so in line with the Ministry of SOEs policy regarding development technology also planned holding companies and trail result of HTS, the HTS will be refined into an appliaction called Integrated Billing System (IBS) which integrates services throughout the port. For this reason, when created IBS it should be using the HTS experience so the weakness of HTS are not repeated.
In this final project, researcher used an analysis based on the principles of the KM Asean Productivity Organization (APO) as a solution to the weaknesses when designing HTS. APO Framework provides guidance in the form of steps to implement Knowledge Management consist of Accelerator, Knowledge Process dan Outcome.
