Agency in 2014, 90% of the Indonesian people perform self-medication with modern therapy (generic
drugs and mandatory drugs from pharmacies). Furthermore, 20% of Indonesian people perform selfmedication with traditional therapy. According to Susenas data in March 2017, the provinces that
still use traditional therapy intensely are West Sumatra and West Nusa Tenggara. Even though
Indonesian people perform self-medication very often, lately, Indonesian people are turning away
from traditional therapy to modern therapy. Entering the new era of digitalization, it is important
for all sector to adapt to the current condition so that it will not be left behind, especially for
knowledge-based sector. This research aims to make digital information media that is easily
understood by its user about preventing hypertension and hyperlipidemia with herbs. These two
diseases are chosen because among all other diseases, hypertension and hyperlipidemia are diseases
that have a high number of sufferers in Indonesia. According to the Riskesdas data in 2018, the
prevalence of hypertension was 34.1 percent while the prevalence of hyperlipidemia was 39.8
percent. Then, the choice of digital information media in this research is to use website. The website
is created by using a content management system (Wordpress) and the website is named E-
Herbs.org. The main content of the E-Herbs.org website was extracted from Materia Medika
Indonesia and Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia. Then, the content of the E-Herbs.org website was
developed by reading supporting references such as current research and publications. The literature
and references that are being used in this research were collection of School of Pharmacy Institute
Technology Bandung library, and online databases such as Elsevier and Research Gate. After the
Website has been successfully created, a user testing is conducted using the direct interview method.
The testing resulted in 55% of users said the E-Herbs.org website was interesting and 45% users said
the E-herbs.org website was ordinary.
