Indonesia is Located at the intersecrion of three tectonics faults, which are Australian Fault, The Pasific Fault, and Eurasian Fault. One of the active fault in Indonesia is Lembang Fault. Study from BMKG in 2017 states that Lembang Fault is active with a shift rate 5 mm/year. This fault has a potential to be an earthquake with a strenght M=6.8 and it is estimated that the impact can reach VII-VIII MMI scale. Based on the lesson learn from the previous earthquake in another area, a number of people injured due to building collapsed. Citizens take a main role to determine how their house built. This research identify housing vulnerability in earthquake prone area and its correlation to citizen knowledge and charateristics, a case study of Desa Gudangkahuripan Kecamatan Lembang. The vulnerabilty assessment based on several components which are slope, distance between building, number of stories, heavyoverhang, and soft story.Citizens charateristics that review in this research are home status, education, household income, and number of family member. The result of the analysis shows that the housing vulnerability in study case area at moderate and high level and also has a correlation with education and number of family member.
