Summary: | DS field is an oil & gas field on development stage in West Madura Offshore block. The field is located administratively in East Java Province. Geologically, DS field is located in Tertiary aged-North East Java Basin. This research focus on Kujung 1 interval, Kujung Formation, with one reservoir interval consists of limestone as its lithology.
The research is intended to determine geological model of the reservoir in detail and its original hydrocarbon in-place estimation. Data used in this research comprise of core data, wireline log data, routine core analysis (RCAL) data, and well test data. Methods used in this research are well data analysis that includes core description, facies and depositional environment analysis, well to well correlation, and petrophysic analysis as well as static reservoir modeling that includes reservoir modeling by 3D structure, petrophysical modeling, fluid contact determination, and original hydrocarbon in-place estimation.
Result of those methods are the geological setting of DS field and the estimation of its original hydrocarbon in-place. Facies analysis based on core description data shows 4 lithofacies that are Foraminiferal Wackestone ? Grainstone (Fwg), Intraclast Rudstone (Irs), Worn Skeletal Wackestone ? Grainstone (Ws), and Skeletal Wackestone ? Grainstone (Swg) composing one facies association as well as the depositional environment which is Platform Interior (restricted-open marine). The estimated volume of original gas in-place from the reservoir is 6,863 MMSCF and volume of original oil in-place is 42.31 MMBO.
