Description
Summary:Networking is an aspect of community capacity that has an important role in community-based tourism development. In developing tourism villages, the behavior of the community to build and maintain networks is important to be discussed before the development phase of tourism goes further. The purpose of this research is to study the capacity of community-based tourism communities related to networking efforts in Desa Lebakmuncang and Desa Cinunuk. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data obtained from interviews with several key informants involved as members of the tourism community. While the secondary data used included a collection of literature studies, agency data, reports from village tourism community organizations, and some news from the media. The method for analyzing results uses content analysis. The results of the study are in the form of a comparison of the characteristics of community capacity between the agro-education based Lebakmuncang Village and the Cinunuk Village based on cultural tourism on networking. From the results of identifying the role of community-based tourism communities in building networks, these two villages already have roles that have network values and are relevant to the community, namely their role as mentors, negotiators, and mediators. However, these roles are not yet optimal, because the networks they have are not yet effective and efficient in terms of collaboration, collective action, and collaboration with other actors. While the identification of the factors that make the community do networking is known that the sharing benefit factor is the most influential factor (driving factor) in the communities in both villages in doing networking. So in general, the community will network if there are financial and / or non-financial benefits (in the form of facilities, infrastructure, etc.). Some recommendations to increase community capacity were included as a solutive effort to become a capable and sustainable organization.
