Badak LNG is plant that dedicated to process gas become liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG). Since the process involving flammable gas and extreme condition, Badak LNG put safe work compliance at top priority and become concern of every working level in the company. For work execution, Badak LNG contract some company to provide service of field work mainly for activities related to plant maintenance. Data shown that there is an increasing number of incident on yearly basis. Based on evaluation for fire incident, the main factor of incident is lack of knowledge and lack of inspection/maintenance. This factor reflected the overall condition in Badak LNG including contract employee, which is in the front end of plant maintenance activities. Taking this lack of knowledge as focus of the evaluation, it is revealed that knowledge management program is already in place for contractor employees with the main focus are safe work practices. Based on that condition, current implementation is not enough and there need to expand the skill of employee that related to their job. Based on evaluation using social cognitive theory, knowledge sharing implementation for contractor already meet several requirement in term of conductive environment but still need further improvement to improve knowledge sharing culture between the employee.
