This study uses a quantitative approach that explains the relationship between variables in this study to get the optimal number of taxis. Based on the analysis conducted the number of fleets currently experiencing excess bids so that it is necessary to apply bid adjustments by limiting the fleet in operation. The estimated number of application-based taxi fleets in the Metropolitan area is currently 8.875, while the number of fleets issued by the West Java Provincial Transportation Agency is only 4,542. The optimal number of fleets based on calculations is 8,460 vehicles with an estimated number of fleets operating every day of 7,179vehicles with an hourly supply of vehicles of 3,590 vehicles per hour. text |

Increasing population, the development of information technology and
communication triggers an increase in community economic activity. This
economic increase directly affects the transportation sector which is a derivative
need of an economic activity (derived demand). Transportation needs grow rapidly,
while the growth rate in the provision of transportation facilities is so low that it
cannot keep up.
The imbalance between available public infrastructure and the number of people
who need it causes a lack of city services including the transportation sector. This
condition causes the high number of private vehicles that are not balanced with the
availability of roads, so the problem of traffic congestion is getting worse. The great
mobility needs in the Greater Bandung Metropolitan area need to be prepared or
facilitated with ideal and efficient connectivity between regions by providing an
integrated transportation system. The ride-hailing taxiis one of the modes that has
the advantage of mobility so that it can place ride-hailing taxi in the role of public
transport feeders both in cities and in sub-urban areas.
The purpose of this study is to calculate the number of ride-hailing taxi fleets in the
Greater Bandung Metropolitan area based on taxi trip characteristics and driver
characteristics. This study uses a quantitative approach that explains the
relationship between variables in this study to get the optimal number of taxis.
Based on the analysis conducted the number of fleets currently experiencing excess
bids so that it is necessary to apply bid adjustments by limiting the fleet in
operation. The estimated number of application-based taxi fleets in the
Metropolitan area is currently 8.875, while the number of fleets issued by the West
Java Provincial Transportation Agency is only 4,542. The optimal number of fleets
based on calculations is 8,460 vehicles with an estimated number of fleets operating
every day of 7,179vehicles with an hourly supply of vehicles of 3,590 vehicles per
