| Summary: | The purpose of this research, to develop an attendance system based on face recognition. Face recognition is used because this methode is one of the most effective biometric method and there is no face that cannot be recognize. In addition, face recognition can be recognized more than one face in one time. The method use in this research is the Haar Cascade for the face detection and Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) for face recognition. To improve accuracy, some of preprocessing were used, including face alignment, histogram equalization and median filter. The result of this research are attendance system that can be used for process of attendance from managing student and staff data, taking face recognition dataset, the process attendance based on face recognition, attendance monitoring and the process of reporting attendance result. The accuracy generated from the face recognition method is 92,36% and face recognition execution time about 0,19 seconds. |
