The formation of rock layer in a reservoir can be seen as a time series where the lower layer is formed earlier than upper layer. The STAR and GSTAR models are supposed to be used for modelling the well logging data of several wells in a specific region. Since there is a possibility that the rock layer in one well influences the other nearby wells. As the observations, secondary data of gamma ray log from eight wells in North Barito is used. The type of weighting matrix which used in this research is uniform weighting matrix. Through STACF and STPACF, it is obtained some possible appropriate-models such as STARI/GSTARI(11,1), STARI/GSTARI(12,1), STARI/GSTARI(21,1,1), STARI/GSTARI(22,1,1), and STARI/GSTARI(22,2,1). Based on the rmse, backcast rmse values and parsimony consideration as well, it is found that GSTARI(21,1 ,1) is the best model. Based on this model, geological interpretation is run and it is found that this model reach approximately 70% in average of interpretation accuracy with geological interpretation using observed data. text
