One of the common preservatives used by the cosmetic industries is the paraben that has been restricted, the other preservative used by the industries as alternatives is phenoxyethanol (PE). The research was conducted to obtain the method used to determine the content of phenoxyethanol using HPLC. The optimized system was a variation of the mobile phase and the stationary phase. The HPLC system used methanol pro HPLC: Phosphate buffer pH 3 (45: 55) as mobile phase, Inertsil phase ODS-3 5 micrometer C18 size ???????? ??? ?ð?? ???í ?±?»???? ?± ?????ð???±?ð?ü±®?ð???????± ????? ?¸ ¸±?±®?±¸  ? a 220 nm wavelength using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The retention time for phenoxyethanol was 7.045 minutes. The linearity value for the linear curve of phenoxyethanol was 0.9995. The relative standard deviation of the intraday precision test was 0.600 and 0.500%, respectively. The relative standard deviation of the interday precision test was 0.700 and 0.800%, respectively. Percent recovery rates for phenoxyethanol in placebo cream were in the range 95.870% - 100.775%%± 1.413. Six samples of different commercial products obtained range of phenoxyethanol content of 0.384%b/b ± 0.0039 ?0.739%b/b ± 0.0014w / w. From these data, it can be concluded that the developed HPLC system can be used for the analysis of the determination of phenoxyethanol content in the moisturizer cream. text
