Description
Summary:Walking is human’s ability to move from a point to another point by striding over alternately. Unfortunately, some people are not able to do it because of incomplete limb and the need of prosthetic. Gait analysis can be utilized for comparing sound people and lower extremities amputee’s gait. Gait research is being done by Biomechanics Research Team FTMD ITB to develop an affordable data grabbing and analyzing system. Data grabbing system has been developed on the previous research for normal treadmill walking. Amputees’ gait analysis can be used to help either the development of the prosthetics or patients’ therapy method. On this research, system development has been done so that gait analysis can be done to lower extremities amputees. The system is tested into 3 normal subjects and 3 amputees and data grabbing is done from left and right side. The results of this research are protocol of gait data grabbing and analysis to be applied to normal subjects and amputees, and also data grabbing system development and questionnaires for amputees.
