Summary:Factors supporting the ecological functions of green open space as absorbing rainwater runoff is green open space filler compositions include soil and plants. This study aims to assess the success rate of the ecological function of urban green open space to do analysis on soil physical properties and characteristics of the plant in the city park. Assessment conducted at four in the urban park namely Tegalega Park , CilakiAtas Park, Cilaki Tengah Park, CilakiBawah with analyze physical properties of soil , measuring the rate of infiltration using double ring infiltrometer were then calculated using Methods Horton and assessment characteristics of plants do with using point assessment regarding function ecological functions of green open space. As a result of land urugan results of analyzes of soil samples four parks show that 1 ) the soil texture dominated the clay fraction so the ground four parks is the texture of clay to loam clayey , 2 ) the weight of the contents of the soil surface is low and tend to be greater than the weight of the contents of the layer below , 3 ) porosity varies being with values ranging from 48.51 to 61.89 % , 4 ) the soil water content tends to be varied from 18.64 to 48.99. As a result of human activity in the park causes the condition of soil physical properties and unfavorable changes in passing water into the ground. The infiltration rate at four parks in some point measurements showed values ranging from very slow to semi-fast. Assessment of ecological functions variable supporting shows the fourth urban park has same variable ecological function value, that aremedium.
