These statistics show the possibility of the occurrence of the phenomenon of Urban Heat Island (UHI) in the town, causing city climate hotter than ever. In the face of this UHI phenomenon, since 2014 the city government of Bandung has made various efforts to improve the quality and quantity of Green Open Space Green (RTHK), one of them by preparing the Spatial Detail Plan (RDTR). To determine the influence of the presence of RTHK for the city, it is necessary to know how the adaptation of society to the RTHK thermal conditions. This thesis aims to determine the quality of thermal comfort can be adopted by the city of Bandung in the open spaces of the city that have been selected based on criteria of a city park (Budiyanti, 2014) and the percentage of the value of Green Plot Ratio (GnPR). This study uses a quantitative approach method that is a method that uses measurable analysis and can be calculated using certain formulas. Sampling type used for this study is a non-random sampling with purposive sampling technique (Kumar, 2005). The samples of this research there are three, namely: Gasibu Field, Taman Lansia, and Saraga Field (Lebak Siliwangi). Based on the results of the analysis it was found that: (1) Based on interviews and field observations, the best quality of the thermal condition among the three samples was sample 2 (Taman Lansia), followed by sample 3 (Saraga Field) and sample 1 (Gasibu Field). These findings indicate that the hypothesis that the greater the ratio of vegetation an RTHK, the greater the thermal comfort value is correct. While based on the simulation results, this hypothesis is valid only in the morning and does not apply in the late afternoon, either in dry or wet season; (2) The community adaptation to the thermal quality of the RTHK environment as a whole is quite good. Most of the respondents were able to accept thermal conditions in all three locations or research samples. Although on the other hand, most of the respondents want to be cooler than the conditions that occurred during the interview. Satisfaction of the condition of imagery, sunlight, and wind within the area is quite good; (3) Based on the results of correlation analysis using JMP software, found an equation which shows the relationship between the thermal environmental factors (temperature, humidity, wind speed, temperature and radiation) and the value of the thermal comfort of the user (TSV); Thermal environmental factors that most influence on the value of the third sample TSV on RTHK in Bandung is RH (relative humidity) with a probability value or P-value <0.0001. Then the second is Air Velocity (wind speed) with P-value of 0.0234; (4) The average value of PET on RTHK in Bandung is in the range of 22.9 ° C to 25.1 ° C with slightly cooler thermal sensation, with a slight cold stress. PET values that can be adapted by the people of Bandung is lower than the cities in other tropical countries (sub); (5) Based on computer simulation result, it is known that area having good PMV value is in area adjacent to building and vi vegetation. This shows that the existence of buildings and vegetation greatly affect the thermal comfort of an area RTHK. By these findings, the authors hope this thesis can be useful for architects, city planners, and landscape architects in designing, especially regarding urban green open space in the city. It is expected that this study were able to participate and contribute to a better future. text |

In the years 2010-2013 the city of Bandung has increased an average temperature
that is equal to 0.05 per year (BMKG West Java, 2014). These statistics show the
possibility of the occurrence of the phenomenon of Urban Heat Island (UHI) in
the town, causing city climate hotter than ever. In the face of this UHI
phenomenon, since 2014 the city government of Bandung has made various efforts
to improve the quality and quantity of Green Open Space Green (RTHK), one of
them by preparing the Spatial Detail Plan (RDTR). To determine the influence of
the presence of RTHK for the city, it is necessary to know how the adaptation of
society to the RTHK thermal conditions.
This thesis aims to determine the quality of thermal comfort can be adopted by the
city of Bandung in the open spaces of the city that have been selected based on
criteria of a city park (Budiyanti, 2014) and the percentage of the value of Green
Plot Ratio (GnPR). This study uses a quantitative approach method that is a
method that uses measurable analysis and can be calculated using certain
formulas. Sampling type used for this study is a non-random sampling with
purposive sampling technique (Kumar, 2005). The samples of this research there
are three, namely: Gasibu Field, Taman Lansia, and Saraga Field (Lebak
Siliwangi).
Based on the results of the analysis it was found that: (1) Based on interviews and
field observations, the best quality of the thermal condition among the three
samples was sample 2 (Taman Lansia), followed by sample 3 (Saraga Field) and
sample 1 (Gasibu Field). These findings indicate that the hypothesis that the
greater the ratio of vegetation an RTHK, the greater the thermal comfort value is
correct. While based on the simulation results, this hypothesis is valid only in the
morning and does not apply in the late afternoon, either in dry or wet season; (2)
The community adaptation to the thermal quality of the RTHK environment as a
whole is quite good. Most of the respondents were able to accept thermal
conditions in all three locations or research samples. Although on the other hand,
most of the respondents want to be cooler than the conditions that occurred
during the interview. Satisfaction of the condition of imagery, sunlight, and wind
within the area is quite good; (3) Based on the results of correlation analysis
using JMP software, found an equation which shows the relationship between the
thermal environmental factors (temperature, humidity, wind speed, temperature
and radiation) and the value of the thermal comfort of the user (TSV); Thermal
environmental factors that most influence on the value of the third sample TSV on
RTHK in Bandung is RH (relative humidity) with a probability value or P-value
<0.0001. Then the second is Air Velocity (wind speed) with P-value of 0.0234; (4)
The average value of PET on RTHK in Bandung is in the range of 22.9 ° C to
25.1 ° C with slightly cooler thermal sensation, with a slight cold stress. PET
values that can be adapted by the people of Bandung is lower than the cities in
other tropical countries (sub); (5) Based on computer simulation result, it is
known that area having good PMV value is in area adjacent to building and
vi
vegetation. This shows that the existence of buildings and vegetation greatly affect
the thermal comfort of an area RTHK.
By these findings, the authors hope this thesis can be useful for architects, city
planners, and landscape architects in designing, especially regarding urban
green open space in the city. It is expected that this study were able to participate
and contribute to a better future. |
