| Summary: | Heritage area is special area that has distinct characters and need special treatment
to preserve its characters. Ir. H.Juanda street corridor in one of heritage area, this
area include in PERDA Kota Bandung No.19 tahun 2009 with heritage building
preservation theme. In practical, this street corridor development trapped in
difficult circumstances because of dissent several stakeholders about development
orientation. As result, this street corridor character preservation doesn’t work
well. Objective of this study is to agreed development orientation of Ir.H. Juanda
street corridor as basic urban design guidelines. Iteracy process is needed in
collecting data process. So, this study using Delphi methods to produce
development orientation consesus. Result of this study conclude that Adaptive reuse
is the right development orientation for Ir.H. Juanda street corridor. Adaptive
re-use is the best deal between heritage buildings and current development,
activities can still emerge based on current demand but heritage buildings have
limited changes so value decreased or damage at significant part will not happen. |
