This experiment was conducted with the aim of comparative study of pharmacokinetic parameters between single use sulfadiazine or trimethoprim and the combination use of sulfadiazine and trimethoprim. The ®??? ?±¸ ?í ?? ®?ÿð?±?ð® ? ? ?±?±??ð?®??¸± ! ?????ã??????????????ã???????í??? -1 ????í??? -1 ), t???? (hour), t????(hour), K12 (hour -1 ), K21 (hour -1 ), Ke (hour -1 ), Vd (L/kg), C 0 p (µg/ml), and AUC0-?(µg hour/ml). Based on the result obtained, sulfadiazine and trimethoprim both follow the twocompartment pharmacokinetic model which results to a longer elimination process. As the result, these drugs may remain in peripheral tissues and led to the emergence of drug residues in chicken meat. Withdrawal time is the time needed for drug residue to get below the Maximum Residue Limit. The withdrawal time can be determined using the Loo-Riegelman Method. The broilers were grouped into three different groups with each group was administered with different drugs intravenously. The sampling was done at the specified time, and the blood plasma was separated from the rest of the blood components. Plasma sample preparation was done with protein precipitation. The drug concentration from the plasma was then measured with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with a validated method. Experimental results show that the withdrawal time of both single use of sulfadiazine and trimethoprim are 16.1 hour and 28.27 hour respectively, and for combination use of both drugs, the withdrawal time of trimethoprim falls to 8.5 hour. The withdrawal time of sulfadiazine in combination use cannot be ¸±?±??ð?±¸ ­±® ??± ?í± ¸??ã ±?ð?ð? ?ð???í ?± »????ð???± í ¸???í ??±?±¸ ?±? ??» ?í± ? ?? drug sampling. Based on that result, it can be concluded that the combination use of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine can cause changes to withdrawal time and their pharmacokinetic parameters as well.
