Cities are getting crowded and many people move to higher density houses. Vertical growth of a city is one of the key to ensure good city performance. Cities that is compact in function and density will have a better performance than Cities in the form of sprawl. Upper Middle Class Apartment, Kuningan Jakarta is trying to answer those problems. The apartment location in Rasuna Epicentrum makes it ideal as a solution to high rise development in the city center This apartment is designed with three main principle, energy saving, urban contexts, and compliance with the target market. The three principle is incorporated into a compact design and fused with consideration to the principles of apartment design, such as, separation between private-public zone, utility buildings, and occupant comfort. Located near The Rasuna Epicentrum, The Apartment must respond to the surrounding area that are already well developed and has an established market share of upper middle class. It is expected that with this project we can more deeply explore the principles and design solutions of how we design residential building in a big developed city center with strong urban context.
