SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES IN WANA WISATA GUNUNG SALAK ENDAH, KABUPATEN BOGOR

Nature-based tourism has become one of a tourism kind that chosen by tourist from big city where lack of natural area. Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah in Bogor Peri-urban has become one of the tourism destination from tourist from Jakarta and Tangerang City. Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah is located in utilization zone of Gunung Halimun Salak National Park. It has a wide range of natural attractions such as waterfall which known as curug, hot spring, and adventural tourism such as trekking to the top of Mount Salak or Kawah Ratu. Those wide range of attractions and its strategic location didn’t give a significant impact to the number of tourist. In 2016, the number of tourist has decrease significantly from 82.500 tourists in 2015 to 57.048 tourists. The decreasing number of tourist in Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah give a negatife impact in tourism especially from the sustainability side. The purpose of this research are to identify the tourism confition in Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah. Quitionnaire for the tourist and deep interview are used to retrieve the data. This research use mix method research using qualitative and quantitative method. The target of this research is to identify and to analyze the sustainable tourism indicator in that area. The combination of those analysis is used to make the sustainable tourism development strategies in Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah based on the supply side of tourism. The sample of the quitionnaire is determined randomly. The number of the sample is known using by slovin formula with 10% number of error. Based on the analysis, the majority of the sample or 97% respondents are from Bogor Peri-urban and other near city such as Jakarta and Tangerang. The sustainable tourism indicator aalysis is used to analyze 5 aspects which is customer satisfaction, economy, environment, society, and management. From the costumer satisfaction aspect the result from the analysis is ‘accepted’ which mean most of the tourist are already satisfy with the tourism experience in Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah. Next aspect is from the environment aspect. In general, the result of this aspect is alreadygood and accepted. From the economy aspect, the result from this the analysis is ‘accepted’. Local society has already joinned the development with starting a restaurant or accomodation for the tourist. The development strategy from the attraction aspect is optimizing the uniqueness of the attracttion itself. Maximizing the tourism facilities which safe for the tourist from all ages. In service and accomodation aspect, the development strategy is to vi optimize the service especially in tourism facility. In accesibility and transportation aspect, the strategy is to repair the access road. Tourist also need the information which can be obtained by making a sign board and also the tourist information center. From the promotion aspect, the strategies are by giving a reward for the tourist that reviewed their experience in Wana Wisata Gunung Salak Endah and post it to social media and making an occasional event to atrract the tourist.
