Description
Summary:Abstract:

By taking the real and the imaginer components of Fourier Transform
N-
Re[fj] IrnCos(2flnj/N)
n=o N-i
Im[fj] = -IrnSin<2Ilnj/N)
n=1
as constraints to minimize the obyective function
N-i
2 I rn i minimum
n=1
where the left hand side values are derived by transforming the input data, linear programming with simplex algorithm may now be invoke to obtain broadband reflectivity function from input which are considered as band-limited version of true earth reflectivity function.
Application to real seismic reflection data show its ability to increase temporal resolution rivalling the high resolution deconvolution. Computer program is developed for DOS basis personal computer with processing capacity up to 2048 sample/recorded trace (equal to 4 second record length with sample rate 2 millisecond).
