Transportation is a basic need for people nowadays. In Indonesia, the sea transportation becomes one of important thing for a life-style. This is due to most of Indonesia’s area is surrounded by archipelago. One important part of the marine transportation is the port passenger terminal. Nowadays, design of port passenger terminal in Indonesia still have some problems. Whereas if further repemandangan to Indonesia Developed in 2030, the port passenger terminal has an important role as well as the potential to be optimized. In writing this Final Project, the authors chose to redesign the port passenger terminal in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, because Tanjung Priok is the busiest port in Indonesia. Therefore, the role and potential of port passenger terminal in Tanjung Priok has very large sea transportation. Currently, the port terminal passenger in Tanjung Priok is active used as a mode of domestic and international sea transportation, even the number of user every day is almost 3000 people. Nevertheless, design problems occur such as circulation and comfortable has been a challenge in this project. The result of redesign port terminal passenger in Tanjung Priok is the work of architecture that optimizes the potential of the region to promote the concept of effective building.
