Surabaya as a city of international trading should be supported by the availability of transport facilities and infrastructure that meet the mobility needs of people. Surabaya is currently doing development of city infrastructure, particularly roads. It shows that land transport modes is still needed. Bus, one of mode transportation, is still an option and of interest to many people so that the bus needs continue to increase. Therefore it is necessary to enhance the capacity of terminal type A in Surabaya that provide availability of public transport services that are safe, comfortable, fast, and integrated to accommodate the needs of increased mobility. So the purpose of this scheme is to design Purabaya Bus Terminal in order to develop and improve services as terminal A. Terminal Purabaya is a bus terminal which accommodates intercity buses and city transport. Purabaya Bus Terminal itself located in the town of Sidoarjo bordering the cities of Surabaya and close to highway access. Site of the terminal is quite spacious but can not evolve because it is isolated and surrounded by dense housing. Issues that need to be considered in the design of the building transportation are orientation, circulation, security, safety, and comfort. Bus Terminal Purabaya has potential as a gateway to the city so that the design of the terminal needs to novelty indicating the identity of the city of Surabaya as a modern city. The modern concept is embodied in the form and expression of dynamics structure.
