The woven technique is many applied start from decorative function to elements in a building. Some of the research and exploration of the weaving methods and woven technical form have done before by using Interweaving Grammar technique. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent of pattern and the vernacular woven form can be applied to building, how the conversion method is used in the context of computational design, and interrelatedness existing results with aspects of the building that can be applied to architectural design. Whereas, the limitation of this research focuse on the shape or the type of simple woven pattern from single biaxial woven (sasag), conversions procedures (codifying) rules, then the aspect of the building that includes the analysis of facade panelling systems and its structure. In addition, the limitation of research designs implementation focuse on design development stage. The case study is taken using Bandung Lautan Api stadium as a sample, because the building is representative of the function and aspects of the building performance that emphasizes the visual display. In general, the research is conducted become four stages; the collection data stage, the preliminary research and analysis Interweaving Grammar methods, the analysis of shape condition and the existing facade design, and the design implementation stage is assessed based on the principles and building rules from the building facade. The conclusion from this research is pattern and single biaxial vernacular woven form (sasag) has a basic rule of geometric pattern shape that can be investigated using computational approach by Interweaving Grammar technique. And then, the Interweaving Grammar method is an open-ended method that can be modified to suit the method in the context of the implementation phase in the design process. text |
