Suramadu Bridge to Link the Presence of Economic Activity Around the Kamal Port: Studies in the Perspective of Economic Development with Justice

Infrastructure development of a country is one of the government's efforts to encourage the economic growth of a region. Road infrastructure development also includes the construction of a bridge. In 2009 inaugurated the longest bridge that connects the islands of Java and Madura islands are located in the city of Surabaya and Bangkalan. The existence of Suramadu Bridge make Madura Island increased economic growth in the aggregate. But the shift of public use Suramadu Bridge make Kamal Port has decreased the number of passengers aboard a ferry for crossing activity between Java and Madura Island. This study aims to determine the relevance of the Suramadu Bridge in the economic activity around the Kamal Port, will be discussed in a transportation development with justice. The study used a q ualitative approach to describing conditions in the economic activity around the port that occur and examines linked by the concept of equitable transportation development. Data that describes the condition of economic activity around the Kamal Port obtained through interviews and secondary documents. Analysis of the data by the method of analysis within the actor -network theory (actor-network theory; ANT), and by doing interpretations of secondary data. Based on the results of this study make the Suramadu Bridge Presence of economic activity around the Port Kamal decreased, so that the existence Suramadu bridge not in accordance with the concept as well as a good transportation development with justice . This is because the presence of the deadly Suramdu Bridge crossing the sea transportation sector .
