In Indonesia, the construction process prefabricated becomes the desire and strategy of the government in providing affordable home demand, especially for houses in the border area of the Republic of Indonesia. This desire is supported by a variety of assembly methods that offered by prefabricated systems through knockdown construction. While on the other hand, the fact that pre-fabricated component materials are still dependent on nonrenewable and unsustainable natural resources. The Modular Wood Block Invention with patent number P00201700592 is a sustainable alternative material that use industrial enginereed wood. The Modular Wood Block Invention provides a new perspective which is the modulation of materiality in the design of prefabricated components and assembly methods without joints in knockdown construction. This research was done to measure the performance reliability of the Modular Wood Block system against the developed prefabrication system. The performance reliability measurement of a prefabricated system is the efficiency of the construction process that relates to time. The analysis uses mix-method through three stages of research. The first phase uses a comparative qualitative method to identify similar prefabricated systems through literature studies. Phase Two uses quantitative exploratory methods to investigate system performance through case studies. The third stage is to formulate the concept of developing an assembly model to achieve an efficient construction process. (1) system performance reliability is obtained from the practicality of connection techniques, and installation techniques (2) erection phase has the highest presentation of the total installation time compared to the connection phase and lifting (3) large dimensions, grouping module variations, procedures installation sequentially and repeatedly can support build speed. The result of weighting on the reliability of Modular Timber Block system performance, it was found that the component was superior in the lifting and connection phase, but still weak in the erection phase. The Modular Timber Block System can be an alternative prefabricated building that is responsive to Indonesia's geographical conditions, but not compatible yet with the pre-fabrication system that has developed. text
