INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/44724 Risk Based Underwater Inspection (RBUI) for offshore platform is a new method for inspection interval scheduling. It gives efficiency and optimation for oil and gas operation and maintenance. Oil and gas companies that applied this method still using qualitative analysis to determine risk level of offshore platform. Available standard, such as API 2SIM and others, is limited to give general guidance in determining risk level method, but lack of detailed guidance and method to determine Probability of Failure (PoF) of offshore platform. This research is focused on how to determine structural PoF on offshore platform using quantitative method based on structural analysis result. This PoF result will be used to calculate risk and inspection interval of an offshore platform. This research used reliability method to determine structural’s PoF, which used collapse pushover analysis to show lateral load if given by 1000 years period wave load. 2 (two) offshore platforms sample is simulate by 108 predicted wave data and calculate number of failure, and compared with total data, to get PoF comparation value. PoF value will combine with Consequence of Failure (CoF) value to get risk matrix that will be converted to inspection interval. In this research, offshore platform’s sample is platforms located in Java Sea and Natuna Sea, with different structural characteristic and different wave, to get picture of different RBUI analysis result. Result of realibility analysis gives PoF as 3.48 x 10-4 and 6.13 x 10-3. Risk value is Medium for 1st platform and High for 2nd platform. Result of inspection interval is 9 years for survey level 2 in 1st platform, and 3 years for survey level 2 and 6 years for survey level 3 in 2nd platform. text
