DISTRIBUSI VERTIKAL KLOROFIL-A DI SELAT MAKASSAR PADA BULAN OKTOBER 2015

In addition, the distribution of chlorophyll-a research mainly on the depth (vertical) in the Makassar Strait is still small. Therefore, it is interesting to examine the conditions of distribution of chlorophyll-a in this strait. Research in this final project to see the distribution of chlorophyll-a and oceanographic parameters horizontally and vertically on the Makassar Strait in October 2015 and the monthly average distribution of chlorophyll-a in 2015. The data used are chlorophylla, as well as data oceanographic parameters consisting of nutrients (nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, and ammonia), temperature, salinity, and light intensity. Vertical data provided is data chlorophyll-a, temperature and salinity. Unless the intensity of light, these parameters obtained from field research data by Balitbang KP KKP in October 2015. Data used chlorophyll-a is the data fluorescene. Then use Aqua MODIS satellite data as well as additional data that is data of chlorophyll-a, and light intensity. The value of chlorophyll-a in surface (satellite data) in the Makassar Strait waters ranging from 0.1 - 15 mg/m3. Based on the field data observation stations, chlorophyll-a maximum located at a depth of 30-70 m, reaching 1.4 mg/m3. While most chlorophyll-a (15 mg/m3) were at the beach especially at coast of Borneo. The content of chlorophyll-a level in the northern part of the Strait of Makassar smaller than the southern of the strait. Vertical profiles of chlorophyll-a is spreading at a shallow depth, while at deep sea more centrally at a depth. text
