This during field on the 21st and the 22nd of Mei 2016, with 55 observation stations. In this study, several oceanographic parameters data such as temperature, current speed, tides, transparency, sigma-t, conductivity, TSS (Total Suspended Solid), salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, ammonia, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), phytoplankton, and chlorophyll-a are measured in the Bay of Saleh northern in the Dompu sub-province. The data was then analyzed with the spatial analysis and tabular analysis method and then presented as a suitability map for seaweed cultivation in the Bay of Saleh. The study shows that the in the Bay of Saleh in the Dompu sub-province can be divided into two categories; very suitable (S3) with an area of 72.831 hectares or 99.92% of the total area, and not suitable (S2) with an area of 52 hectares or 0.08% of the total area of the observation area. While based on research Yulius, et al (2014) class suitability of seaweed cultivation in the waters Bay of Saleh in the Sumbawa sub-province show categories suitable with area 60.34%, and the category in suitable conditional with an area of 39.66% of the total area of observation area. The dominant parameter that indicates the range of categories is very suitable for the cultivation seaweed of the Bay of Saleh is salinity, dissolved oxygen, and Ph. Thus, the waters of the Bay of Saleh satisfy the conditions for cultivation in a large body of water. text
