Summary:West Lombok regency, Lombok Island, especially Nothern Sekotong waters is a tourism region in Indonesia, which has beautiful coral reef and marine ecosystem. The coral reef damage has been widespread in this area. Survey was done on 23 – 28 May 2016 in colaboration with P3SDLP KKP and mapping corel reefs using Landsat 7 images on 2002 and Landsat 8 on 2002, 2014, 2015, 2016 as well as the processing of monthly sea surface temperature data from satellites AquaModis and OI SST V2 and combined with daily sea surface temperature data from satellite NOAA Coral Reef Watch indicate that coral reefs in this are have changed 17,55% or 78,21 Ha from 455,68 Ha in 2002 to 367,47 Ha in 2016, with degradation rate is 2,8 Ha/year on 2002 – 2014, 8,1 Ha on 2014 – 2015 and 36 Ha on 2015 – 2016. Coral reefs changes in Northen Sekotong waters are influenced by severeal factors such as rise of sea surface temperature (SST), the high intensity of hotspot phenomena that causing degree heat weeks (DHW) in 2016 and also because human activitiy such as traditional mining which resulted in heavy metal waste contaminated water.
