Description
Summary:Earthquake has become one of the main considerations in the planning of infrastructure. For planning structure in Indonesia, a code has been made by Badan Standardisasi Nasional which is SNI 1726-2012 about ”Earthquake Resistance Planning Procedure for Building Structure and Non Building Structure”. In this code, how to design earthquake loads, one of them is the value of redundancy factor, ????, as amplification factor for earthquake load that ruled by spesific provisions. For building with torsional irregularity required touse redundancy factor, ???? = 1,3. In this study will evaluate the value of redundancy factor,????????, for torsional irregularity, by comparing performance level of 2 (two) model structure with torsional irregularity that have different value of redundancy factor, ????, the first model use ???? = 1 and ???? = 1,3 for the second model. The analysis will performed by using software ETABS 9.7.4. In this study will conduct pushover analysis to look behavior and performance level of two model structure. Based on the analysis result, we find that model with torsional irregularity model which uses redundancy factor, ???? = 1, almost not reach its performance level, while the model with redundancy factor, ???? = 1,3 achieve the expected performance level. Beside that, we find that model with torsional irregularity will cost more than regular model structure. From the comparison of the 2 (two) model in this study, the value of redundancy factor based on SNI 1726-2012 for reinforced concrete buiding with torsional irregularity is appropriate and suitable for use in Indonesia.
