CRCS (Center For Research And Community Service) building is one of four new buildings that are being built by ITB. This final assignment will discuss the planning of structure construction method, schedulling, and cost estimating of related project. Structure construction method planning has a very important role in the design of construction projects. This method of construction will be a reference in determining the duration and total cost of the project which is described separately, so it takes good planning. The tardiness of project usually becomes a big problem in construction process. It will cause the increasing of project cost and resources aren’t used effective. So, scheduling becomes the important thing to solve the tardiness issue. Scheduling is meant to predict the whole duration for finishing the project which consists of some tasks that related to each other. For making the schedule planning for the project, precedence diagram method (PDM) will be the best way. For creating the PDM, it will be easier to use Project Management software. Cost and time are the important factors of project construction management aspect. Contractors always try to minimize the expenses cost to get the maximum profit. To achieve this, process of cost estimating is needed to estimate the amount of money that needed to accomplish the construction project. The estimated cost divided into two characters, direct cost and indirect cost. Direct costs contain cost of resources that are expended solely to complete the activity/work of the project, such as material cost, equipment cost, and labor cost. Indirect cost is costs contain cost of resources that need to be expended to support the activity/work of the project, such as overhead cost, general conditions, contingencies, profit, and taxes. The used method of cost estimating in this project is resource enumeration method. The reason of choosing this method is to cause a relationship between duration of work and amount of labors/workers in calculating the cost of work.
