Flood is very dangerous disaster because can loss of property, loss of life, and damage to infrastructure. One of the areas that is often hit by flooding is Rancaekek. The flood occoured around the Rancaekek Highway be passed by two rivers, they are Cikijing River and Cimande River. This flood cause by road drainage channel in bad condition and overflow of Cikijing River and Cimande River. In December 2014 – January 2015 recorded that flood in area up to 1 – 1.5 meters. Based on analysis, planning of road drainage channel using discharge of 5 years return periode obtained 117.76 milimeters of rainfall and capacity evaluation of river using discharge of 25 years return periode obtained Cikijing River discharge 106.87 m3/s and Cimande River discharge 161.61 m3/s. From the comparison result of plan discharge with existing discharge of road drainage channel and river exist cross section that cannot accommodate plan discharge so giving overflow. Therefore, will be flood problem handling by changing the cross section. In case of surface water modelling will be used HEC-RAS 4.1.0 software. Based on the result of the calculation and modelling obtained the solution of best cross section change to stop the overflow. By using the alternative of the best of road drainage channel cross section and river in the order to solve flooding problem that happened in Rancaekek Highway. text
