Production rate of the system is no more than 31,7 kg/s. The system employs refrigeration process to bring feed gas temperature down to enable it to condense. The refrigeration cycles used in the simulation are simple 1-stage reversed-Brayton cycle and its modified cycle. Simulation is done with assumption that the system has reached steady-state condition. The parameters included in the simulation are the type of refrigerant, working pressure, temperature of refrigerant at some point in the cycle, temperature of natural gas before and after through the system, and its mass flow rate. The designed simulator has been tested with manual computation, and comparisons with error less than 4% is obtained. Until that stage it can be concluded that the output of the simulator is credible. Parametric Analysis also has been performed to determine the effect of changing a parameter to the cycle as a whole, which is expressed by figure of merit (FOM) of the cycle, entropy generation rate in components, and mass flow rate of refrigerant required to liquefy the natural gas. text
