In this study, determined antioxidant activities of lemongrass (Cymbopogon Citratus), citronella grass (C. winterianus), and palmarosa grass (C. martini) herbs using DPPH and FRAP assays; total phenolic, flavonoid, and carotenoid content by UV-Vis spectrophotometry; and its correlation were analyzed ­?±¬????’??±?í?¸. Extraction was performed by reflux using gradient polarity solvents. Extracts were monitored by thin layer chromatography. The highest antioxidant activity indicated by the lowest IC50 of DPPH scavenging and EC50 of FRAP capacities which given by ethanol extract of lemongrass 2.75 µg/mL and 12.22 µg/mL. The highest total phenolic was given by ethanol extract of lemongrass (9.29 g GAE/100 g). The highest flavonoid content was given by ethyl acetate extract of lemongrass (12.71 g QE/100 g). The highest carotenoid content was given by n-hexane extract of citronella grass (20.36 g BE/100 g). Phenolic compounds were major contributors in antioxidant activity of lemongrass ethanol extract by DPPH and FRAP assay. The antioxidant activity from herbs of three species of lemongrass had linear results in DPPH and FRAP method. text
