Summary: | Telescopes are the main tool in astronomical observations. Many schools have it
for educational purposes. Even almost every junior high schools in Bandung has
a telescope. From the survey on KIR, it was found that 78% of students know
there is a telescope in their school, but no one had ever used it. As an effort to
increase the use of telescopes in schools, a user manual of telescopes was written.
The guide to the worksheets with meaningful experimental models was developed
from the telescope manual book together with 2013 curriculum. As references, the
4D model is used as a worksheet development method. The validation stages of
the expert get the CVR (Content Validity Ratio) values for almost all content are
considered "essential", and the Content Validity Index (CVI) value = 0.99. In
addition, experts also get an assessment of the quality of the worksheet and get a
"good" score. Field tests are carried out by students who understand the material
and ease of doing activities. From this development process produced worksheets
that were feasible to be used as a guide to the use of telescopes in schools. |
