One of the problems that occur on the coastal area is an erosion because if it occurs continuously it can bring quite serious problems on muddy beach. Generally, this damage is caused by several factors and one of the most influential in this type of beach is waves originating from offshore. To protect the muddy beach from wave damage, coastal protection is needed by using permeable breakwaters type. Permeable breakwaters are being developed, namely with PEGATIP. The material used for PEGATIP in this study is rounded insulated bamboo (3B), which is round bamboo from Pringgodani garden with a diameter of 1 cm, height of 20 cm with a multicolored wooden bulkhead 2 cm thick. To achieve optimization in the use of PEGATIP 3B, it is necessary to have a reflection and transmission analysis of the results of 2D physical models of these breakwaters. PEGATIP is effective in scenarios that have smaller ???????? values and larger ???????? values. In this study the test was carried out with water level at MSL (44 cm) and HWL (50 cm) with 4 spatial scenarios between 1 D, 1D with bulkhead, 2D and 2D with bulkhead. Then the calculation results of ???????? and ???????? are compared with nondimensional wave steepness variables (????????????????????????????) and wave slope ????????????????????????). From this study, it is known that ???????? has an inverse relationship to the values of ???????????????????????????? and ????????????????????while ???????? has a relationship that is directly proportional to the values ???????????????????????????? and ????????????????????. The most effective water level for PEGATIP 3B is MSL than HWL. The most effective spatial scenario is a scenario that has a partition rather than a screenless scenario. text
