STUDY OF VEHICLE OPERATION COST SUBMODELS IN HDM-4 MODELS AND GUIDELINES PD T-15-2005-B

Economic growth must be supported by the construction of road infrastructure. The benefits of road infrastructure development can be in the form of increasing economic activity or saving vehicle operating costs (BOK). INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/45110 Economic growth must be supported by the construction of road infrastructure. The benefits of road infrastructure development can be in the form of increasing economic activity or saving vehicle operating costs (BOK). The HDM-4 model and the Pd T-15-2005-B Guidelines can be used to predict BOK with input characteristics of roads, vehicles, and traffic. This study compares the predictive value of BOK components by the HDM-4 and Pd T-15-2005-B models with the results of the actual data collection issued by the vehicle operator. The research will be conducted on the Trans Metro Bandung DAMRI bus corridor 1 Cibeureum - Cibiru. The BOK components studied included: fuel costs, tire costs, lubricant costs (oil), spare parts costs, and maintenance wage costs. The predicted fuel cost by HDM-4 gives a value of 31% less than the actual cost, while the prediction by Pd T-15-2005-B is 45% greater. The prediction of tire cost by HDM-4 is 6% less than the actual cost, while it is 28% smaller based on the calculation formula Pd T-15-2005-B. Prediction of lubricant costs by HDM-4 is 37% greater than actual costs, while Pd T-15-2005-B is 46% smaller. The cost calculation of parts by HDM-4 gives a value of 331% far greater than the actual cost, while only 119% greater than the actual cost based on the Pd-15-2005-B. Estimated vehicle maintenance wages by the HDM-4 model are 380% greater than the actual and very large costs when calculated using the formula Pd T-15- 2005-B which is 12025% greater than the actual cost. The HDM-4 model needs to be calibrated mainly in terms of the effects of traffic congestion which indirectly affects fuel costs and other components. In addition, vehicle idle conditions need to be taken into account as a factor that affects the BOK component, especially fuel costs. text
