Primary Health Centre has a special program for patients with chronic disease, called prolanis. Therefore, this research was design to assess the appropriateness of anti-hypertension drug (AHD)-use and the effectiveness of the therapy for prolanis and non-prolanis patient. This research is an observational study with random sampling technique, the amount of sample has been defined by Slovin method, begin with assessment of AHD-use based on predetermined criteria which has been assigned before and assessment of hypertension therapy effectiveness based on JNC VIII standard. To identify life style and compliance factors, data was collected by questionnaire and interviewed from December 2015 until February 2016. In AHD-use appropriateness assessment, 83,08% cases in prolanis and 74,74% cases of inappropriate drug selection in non prolanis were found, about 4,62% cases of inappropriate dose selection were found and about 40% cases in prolanis and 26,32% drug interactions cases in non-prolanis were found. The amount of drug related problems (DRPs) potencies in each visit prolanis was 132,3% and 105,26% in non-prolanis. There were 450 visits, including 250 visits of prolanis and 190 visits of non-prolanis. There were 35,77% in prolanis visits and 50% of ineffective therapy in non-prolanis visits, but the results ?±?±???different statistically (p = 0,87). Factor of life style and compliance of patient were AHDuse, body mass index more than 24,9 kg/m 2 , rarely excercising, and eating habit ¸ð¸???follow DASH and smoking.
