Summary: | Diseases’pattern, incidence, and prevalence are necessary for drug stock planning, arrange the
human resources, and also for planning in order to prevent illness the year after. Bumi Medika
Ganesa (BMG) is a healthcare service owned and ran by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) which
provides treatments for different health conditions. BMG hasn’t got the comprehensive pattern yet,
so this study was aimed to evaluate the pattern, incidence, and prevalence of diseases in students
treated by BMG. Method used in this research is longitudinal descriptive with retrospective design
concerning the students’illness from January 2015-March 2016. The diseases are classified based on
WHO (International Classification of Diseases 10
th
Revision (ICD-10), noncommunicable disease,
communicable disease), and the Basic Health Research of 2007 regarding Indonesia’s mortality
burden of disease. From the research of diseases pattern, a brochure was made as a preventive
measure for diseases, including respiratory system, digestive system, and skin diseases. In 2015, a
total of 6.416 cases were found with 4.667 of total students in 2015 treated by BMG. In 2015, it was
found that diseases regarding respiratory system has the highest occurrence (2,659 cases; incidence
160,17; prevalence 0,16). Asthma was the biggest contributors for noncommunicable disease with
83 cases, incidence 5,00 and prevalence 0,00. The highest communicable disease occurred in 2015
was common cold with 783 cases, incidence 47,17 and prevalence 0,05. The disease which
contributed to the highest mortality rate was chronic lower respiratory diseases with 186 cases,
incidence 11,20 and prevalence 0,01.
