Description
Summary:Based on Masterplan for National Tourism Development, Pangandaran is one of the National Tourism Strategic Region. Domestic and international tourists visit Pangandaran and their number increases every year. This tourist number’s growth should be followed by the infrastructure’s readiness. Development of air transportation infrastructure is an option which may increase the connectivity of Pangandaran and develops the potential of Pangandaran as a tourism destination. Nusawiru airport which is located in Cijulang District, Pangandaran, is the gateway into the tourism area of Pangandaran. Development of Nusawiru airport as the airport serving Pangandaran and its surrounding city includes the development of the airside and landside facilities of the airport. Development is needed in order to accomodate the growing number of passengers in Nusawiru airport. Developments conducted on the airside facilities are the development of runway, taxiway and apron while development conducted on the landside facilities only includes the development of the passenger terminal. Aerodrome Design Manual which was published by Internatioal Civil Aviation Organization and Advisory Circulars which was published by Federeal Aviation Administration are the guidelines used to design the development of the airside facilities. Calculation of the pavement structure and the PCN value of the airside facilities uses FAARFIELD and COMFAA program. Guide which is used to design the passenger terminal is SNI 03-7046-2004. Nusawiru airport’s masterplan is also considered in the development design of Nusawiru airport. The runway length estimation based on the design is 1800 m which is 400 m longer than the length of the existing runway with the width of runway as big as 45 m. Taxiway and apron dimensions successively are 63 m x 15 m and 170 m x 83 m. Area of the passenger terminal including restrooms, praying rooms, and concession area is 999 m2. Runway and taxiway uses flexible pavement with total pavement thickness of 37 cm and overlay thickness of 6 cm while apron uses rigid pavement with total pavement thickness of 60 cm. Cost required for the development of airside and landside is 89 billion rupiah. Nusawiru airport development is planned to be able to accommodate the growth number of passengers until 2036
