In fact, oil price decreases more than 50% until this thesis written and reservoir performance decreases gradually in 10 years since put on production (POP). The problem faced commonly is production problem, ineffectively extracting the hydrocarbon. In overcoming the problem, a natural dumpflood technology is required to have pressure maintenance while progressively increase the recovery factor. Natural dumpflood uses the pressure and fluid of one reservoir, reservoir support, to support pressure and depletion of another reservoir, reservoir target. The availability of reservoir support’s pressure will increase horizontal sweep efficiency of the target. The main objective of this study is to give a performance calculation of natural dumpflood method. The approach used to know performace of reservoir support to reservoir target, the material balance. Methodology used is by simulating the behavior between two different reservoirs. The reservoir is modelled as a tank with parameters inputted in it. This study results in the increase of recovery factor and background of the natural dumpflood. There are two main scenarios, naturally depleted and natural dumpflood method applied, to perform the simulation. After running the simulation, the recovery factor from natural dumpflood method applied scenario is increasing for 7% compare to the naturally depleted scenario. Due to the different pressure between two reservoirs, the reservoir support is acted as a liquid injector to the reservoir target. This phenomenon shows hydrocarbon swept from reservoir target because of the fluid transportation from reservoir support. text |

A decrease of reservoir performance and oil price could put the oil & gas industry in jeopardy.
